Every year on June 20, World Refugee Day is celebrated to honor the refugees . Stuggling and having a tough and challenging journey are theis fate. Reasons such as war, terror attacks, or other crises forces people to leave their respective houses and stay away.

Seldom terrible weather conditions and surviving on grants, living in camps are the only ways left out until they are shifted to another place. They are just on the mercy so ethically for humanity too, it’s vital to give them hands and support them.

World Refugee Day also marks a key moment for the public to show support for families forced to flee. “Every Action Counts” is the theme of World Refugee Day this year. Unity in Diversity is what world always looks for. As human , it’s a prime duty and resposibilty of ours to lend hands to those in need and to bring about changes to make the world.

Filippo Grandi, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, joined the WHO’s media briefing to protect the world’s most vulnerable people during the pandemic. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General  adds that there is much to do and keep them safe. 80 million refugees are there to look after especially Corona has made life more vulnerable. Besides, socio-economic responses and recovery plans must also include displaced people.

“The key issue that we’ve been impressing on governments is that refugees, displaced people, people on the move, must be included in national health responses,” explained Grandi. Whatever measures governments are taking for national populations must also include refugees, he added.
